My Marled Magic Shawl has reached the halfway point! I’ve finished clues 1 & 2.
And I love it! I dunno if it’s the colors or the textures or the construction or the stash busting…
But I want to make about six more of these! I love everything about it! The construction is so unique. The marled effect from double stranding is so fun! Mixing colors and fading stripes are so satisfying! This is a lot of fun to knit!
Clue 3 picks up the free edge of the mesh section. Contrast is recommended. I think I’m going for purples.
I’ve still got plenty of stash left!
very pretty!

I would know this was yours wherever I saw it! Seeing the parts individually it seemed a bit much, but of course all together it’s just bright and super fun!

I wasn’t sure how it would all come together. I went into it without a real plan. I just grabbed colors as I felt like it.
Needless to say, I was relieved when I got to a point where it could be laid out and viewed from a distance and it wasn’t so bad! All the colors is working out as a plan :)

I had that experience with this shawl too! I absolutely loved it. I think for those of us who adore color and stash busting, it’s such a win! I have little balls of handspun all over the place waiting for me to make another. Every single one I see around the blogosphere is equally charming to me! And I can’t wait for it to cool down a bit so I can wear mine!

I agree re: cooling down! yarn held double throughout means a very warm shawl! I was noticing the weight of mine…and it’s not even finished yet!
