Back and forth I go, knit knit knit on the bus. Off to the park for lunch, knit knit knit. Put it all together and the Hitchhiker I just started is nearly finished! I added eyelets to row 8 after seeing it referred to on Ravelry. So far so good, it’s a fun modification. I think it helps break up the madness of this color, which is definitely appreciated.
The yarn is Tosh Merino Light, color Cotton Candy. This is the yarn that sparked my rant on bleeding and subsequent treatment with Synthrapol. I’m curious to see what happens when I block it. I’m working all weekend, so I’ll have plenty of bus rides to get it done!
Lovely knit, the colors are so cheery. Synthrapol! Oh what memories that name brings back. I used to dye fabric with my quilting guild, so lots of that was used over the years.

My Mom was the one who hipped me to Synthrapol, She used it for her fabric dying as well! It works great on yarn though, I’m pleased to have discovered it!

That’s so cool! Are you doing eyelets all the way across? Looking forward to seeing the finished shawl!

Yup, row 8 is bind off 5, k1 and then (yo, k2tog) to the last stitch where you KFB. Keeps the pattern super easy, but really adds a lot in my opinion!
