I can’t follow rules. The easiest way to get me to do something is tell me not to. I can’t help it. Naturally, that means I can’t simply answer 11 questions from the ladies who gave me a Liebster Award. Some of the questions deserve entire posts, like ‘What is your dream vacation?’ I’ve been on my dream vacation. It was a dream, it’s still a dream. All through my unemployment, I kept thinking about moving there! It’s an enchanting place! And it’s not an uncommon dream vacation for knitters either…Iceland!
Yes, Iceland has awesome waterfalls!

Nothing compares to the sweaters though! There’s like 10x more sweaters than people in the country! And they’re all different! The amount of variation is impressive, awesome and inspiring!

Sweaters come from yarn…

This is a small fraction of what I came home with:

Yarn comes from fleeces…
Fleeces come from sheep…
And Iceland has a lot of all those things! It’s an amazing knitting destination! I can’t wait to go back! Knitter’s Paradise! If it’s on your bucket list, and even if it’s not, I can’t recommend going enough. It will be worth it!
Awesome post :)

That is totally worth mentioning…no only is the country chock full of sweaters and people who love wearing them but they’re ALL handmade! Imagine if all the sweaters in the USA were handmade??

It’s such an awesome place, there are very few people there but the ones that are, 100% awesome! I went to a bar that had live music one night…40 bicycles parked out front. Not one single bike lock in sight??? Turns out no one uses locks because no one steals bikes there! Meanwhile, here in SF your bike might get stolen within 90 seconds of it being locked down like Fort Knox.

In Reykjavik, I stayed at the Kex Hostel a bunch. It’s a very hip place, hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! The whole place was decorated with awesome maps! They had a 3 dimensional relief map of India that was 8 feet from top to bottom! They had an awesome old map of berlin on my floor, it was probably 8 feet wide. The Iceland map was an old National Geographic Atlas. I spent a couple hours with that book :)

If we stay there, my wife will never leave :) She’s a huge geography/cartography nerd and I can’t hate on that, maps are fascinating! I hope we can stay there when we go!
